Mi papá decía que el gobierno era un gobierno desgraciado. Porque decía él: "(Los del gobierno) vienen aquí, dicen que vienen a ayudar y luego, decía, se meten y le quitan todo lo que pueden a la gente. Luego, ya al final, hasta el lenguaje nos quieren quitar porque ya no pueden quitarnos más." Por eso es que yo también soy así. Es que él (mi padre) era una persona que siempre defendía lo que creía. No importaba a quién le gustara.
M y father said that the government was a disgrace. Because he would say: "They come here, they say they're coming to help, and then, he says, they come in and take everything that they can away from the people. Later on they try at the end to take their language away, because there is nothing else left to be taken away." That is why I have turned out to be like this. Because he [my father] was someone who always defended what he believed in. It made no difference who liked it or not.
