Yo ví a la madre de mi padre cuidar a mi abuelo y ahora me doy cuenta de que esto debe haberme influído en mi decisión de ser enfermera. Ella podía atender a mi abuelo muy bien aún cuando ella era una mujer muy pequeña y él estaba paralizado y era un hombre grande. Ella lo cambiaba de lugar muy bien y le daba de comer. Pienso que ver esta bondad me hizo querer ayudar a otras personas.
I saw in my father's mother how she took care of my grandfather and I think now how she must have influenced me. That made me decide to go into nursing. Just how well she was able to handle Grandpa, he couldn't move, he was paralyzed, and this little woman could take care of this big man, moving him around and feeding him and all that. I think seeing that kindness made me want to help other people too.
