En mi corazón tengo sentimientos fuertes sobre el tejido, a mí me gusta mucho. Yo no me puedo ver haciendo ninguna otra cosa. Comencé con crochet. No sabía nada sobre el tejer. En realidad nunca tomé una clase formal de tejido. La mayoria de lo que aprendí fue aquí (en Tierra Wools) y las muchachas me enseñaron a hacerlo. Yo no crecí alrededor de una tradición de tejedores, aunque en esta zona habían muchos tejedores. En mi familia mi abuelo y sus hermanos eran adoberos. Casi todos los tejidos que se hacían por aquí se usaban para cambios o para regalos. Muchos de los tejedores eran hombres.
In my heart there is a feeling for weaving, I really enjoy it. I can't see myself doing anything else at this point. I started by crocheting. I didn't know how to weave. I really never went through like a formal class. Most of what I learned was from here (at Tierra Wools) and the girls teaching me right and wrong. There was no weaving tradition when I was growing up. In my family my grandfather and his brothers were adobe makers. There was a lot of weaving going on around here. Most of the weaving was done for trade or for gifts. Most of the weaving was done by men in this area.
